Parliament Hill
West Slope

One of Graebeck Construction's most complex and high-profile mandates, the Parliament Hill project involved a multi-phase structural intervention on the historic west slope of Canada's most recognized landmark.

The scope of work included stabilization of the west slope embankment, rebuilding the nearby perimeter wall, reconstructing the existing stairway, and updating the retaining walls and stone-faced tunnel façades. Every element of this project demanded meticulous coordination with federal heritage authorities, stringent security protocols, and a deep respect for the integrity of one of Canada's most symbolically significant sites.

Working on Parliament Hill presents unique challenges beyond the purely technical: round-the-clock security clearances, restricted working hours during parliamentary sessions, and material staging constraints on a fully active federal precinct. Graebeck's site team navigated all of these requirements without incident and without disruption to the operations of the Hill.

The structural stonework was completed to period-accurate standards, ensuring the restored perimeter wall and tunnel façades are indistinguishable from their historic neighbours, a testament to the skill of Graebeck's masonry team and the quality of materials sourced for this landmark project.
