Almonte Hospital
Renovation
The Almonte General Hospital renovation was one of Graebeck Construction's most complex institutional projects: a two-phase renovation that demanded the highest levels of infection control, project coordination, and sensitivity to a fully operational medical facility.
Throughout the entire duration of the project, the hospital remained open and active. Patients were receiving care, staff were working, and emergency services continued without interruption. Graebeck's site team implemented meticulous dust, noise, and vibration control protocols at every stage to protect the health of patients and the integrity of ongoing medical operations.
The scope of work included comprehensive asbestos abatement, a critical first phase in this older facility, followed by selective demolition and the construction of new medical facility areas. Exterior improvements included new cladding, a canopy entrance that improved patient access and wayfinding, and landscaping that refreshed the building's public face.
Delivered across two carefully sequenced phases, the project avoided any disruption to hospital operations while transforming the facility into a modern, patient-centred environment that serves the Almonte community with renewed dignity.
